I have been meaning to write this article since the beginning of May, and here I am finally getting some time to do so. I have had a car since May, so this is the LAST chenb0x award of this series!! It’s a bitter sweet ending, but while content might suffer, I don’t have to anymore. I deem this a win. Anyway, moving on…
About a month ago I was heading home from work. I had to wait for the last bus, so it must have been around 1 AM when this occurred. As I neared my final stop before my 3 mile walk home, I got up off my seat and gathered my belongings. I neared the door and the bus driver decided to make an abrupt stop. As I was stepping to catch my balance, I landed right on another rider’s shoe. At this point you might speculate that today’s chenb0x award goes to me, but no. I’m humble enough to let the other guy have this award. Mainly because even AFTER I apologized sincerely, the other rider insisted on making a big deal out of it; to the point of grabbing my wrist and asking for another apology. He didn’t get that one. Instead he got a jerk away from his grip and my laugh.
As I exited the bus, I turned back once to make sure I wasn’t being followed and started my walk home. The next day I boarded the morning bus and sat across from the same rider. We had a wonderful staring contest in which I proceeded to mouth ”you have a weak grip” until he left three stops later.
Sir, if those shoes are so important to you, maybe you should re-evaluate your priorities. My girlfriend is excellent with fashion so I understand the concept of keeping an image, but to risk confrontation at midnight over shoes? Laaaaaaaaame. So, you, good sir, get my final hacker bus pass award. If this award does not add up to the caliber of your actions, please send me your email, SSN, cell phone number, first and last name, mother’s maiden name, and date of birth and I will make sure you are well compensated for the service you provide for this blog.
